Myoko Kogen Ski Resort is located one hour north of Nagano Japan in the Niigata prefecture. Founded in the 1930’s, Myoko Kogen ski resort is claimed to be the oldest ski area in Japan.
Myoko Kogen Ski Resort is made up of a group of ski areas, which can be all accessed by shuttle bus. Akakura Kanko and Akakura Onsen are thr main areas and linked by lifts. Myoko Suginohara and Ikenotaira Onsen, are able to be visited for the day by taking a shuttle (each way cost is paid on usage).
With up to 15 metres of snow ‘Japow’ each season, you won’t be disappointed. Myoko Kogen’s village offers excellent English speaking ski schools, good rental facilities and restaurants and bars.
