Club Med Tomamu
Club Med Tomamu offers a true winter wonderland experience, perfect for families, couples and singles. This grand ski-in/ski-out property features 322 modern Japanese chic rooms split over two buildings, the Yabari Hotel and the Hidaka Hotel, a good selection of restaurants and bars, dedicated daily kids ski clubs, evening babysitting service plus a fitness centre. There is something for everyone on the pristine soft powder covered slopes, with ski and snowboard lessons for all skills and ages, snow trekking, snow rafting adventures, ice slides, ice bar, the Ice Village and Japan’s largest indoor wave pool.

Tomamu ski resort is located just 1.5 hours by road North East from Chitose Airport. Like many of the Hokkaido ski resorts, Tomamu receives an average of 10+ meters of incredibly dry powder snow per season. The resort is open from early December to late March and over the last few years, has been upgrading the lifts and facilities. Tomamu is ideal for those seeking a Japan ski resort experience that delivers both exceptional resort facilities, with plenty on offer for advanced skiers and boarders and heavy average snowfall per season.
This family friendly resort is split over two peaks with six 5 lifts and 1 gondola giving over 21kms of piste to cater for all levels of skier or boarder. The new expert courses and off-piste skiing are perfect for advanced skier and snowboarders. Tomamu allows tree riding and offers some great backcountry guiding services including Cat skiing and boarding. Night skiing is available until 7pm.
This purpose built resort offers ice village with ice slides, Ice Bar, snow mountain biking, snow trekking, snow sledding, snow banana boat, ice fishing, an indoor Japanese public bath, open air public bath with forest view, souvenir shorts and lots of restaurants.
With a choice of Club rooms, Deluxe rooms or Suites, there is something for everyone. Room facilities include bathrobes, minibar, security safe, phone and WiFi access. The Club rooms are located in both the Hidaka and Yubari Hotels. They are comfortable and classy rooms, best suited to couples however they can accommodate up to 5 guests. The Deluxe rooms feature a lounge area, making them ideal for families. The superior and chic Suites offer a spacious lounge area and mountain views. The Deluxe rooms and Suites are located in the Yubari Hotel, they both include a bathroom, ironing kit, mini bar that is refreshed daily, separate toilet, tea and coffee kit and a TV. In addition to this the Suites offer the best of the best with inclusive room service for continental breakfast, slippers, pool towels, bottles of water, bathroom with shower and separate toilet, Espresso machine, TVs and DVD player and hair dryer.
Restaurants & Bars
Creative cuisine and delicious food is of utmost importance at Club Med. Chefs go out of their way to serve wonderful local and international cuisine in a fabulous atmosphere. Impeccable table art will bring tables to life and you’ll just have to sit back, relax and let the food and staff do the rest.
Itara – Club Med Tomamu’s main restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner featuring a combination of international and fresh Japanese cuisine.
Haku – Open in January 2018, this specialty restaurant features sizzling hot Yakiniku fresh off the grill, authentic Hokkaido specialties and a wide variety of delectable delights. Open for late breakfast, late lunch and a la carte dinner.
Unkai – A vast fusion of intoxicating beverages, magnificent views and great music – no evening is complete without a trip to the vibrant Unkai. Enjoy a drink or two by the cosy fireplace while taking in the spectacular mountain vista. This bar welcomes you indoors or out on the terrace, during the day and evening, for an enjoyable break with friends. This bar may incur additional costs.
The Nest – Zen bar – Open in February 2018, in this traditional bar why not warm up with traditional Japanese tea lessons or indulge in a glass of premium whisky atop pristine mountains or perhaps try this Japanese whisky and sake tasting, a true journey for the senses. This bar will incur additional costs.
Children's facilities
Club Med Tomamu welcomes children of all ages with supervision, for each age group from 2 years old. From 4 to 10 years, children have a thirst for everything, Mini Club Med has planned everything in order to meet these needs. Club Med Password brings together young people aged between 11 and 17 years, and provides them a place to discover creative, sports, artistic activities, or simply just hang out together. Alongside our trusted G.O.s ®, they are free to pursue their passions! Open 7 days a week.
Petit Club Med* (from 2 to under 4 years old) *at extra cost. It’s the time for those first discoveries: the leisure of waking, walking and outdoor play, a full and balanced breakfast (especially designed for the needs of the young), a nap or quiet time, creative activities and of course, snack time, a true feast for those with a sweet tooth! The activities follow the progress of children, distributed into age groups. Petit Club Med© must be paid for with holiday reservation.
Mini Club Med® (from 4 to under 11 years old) Included in your package Creating and letting off steam. At these ages, children are hungry for everything. The Mini Club Med® has thought of everything to fulfil this constant need for new experiences. Sports, fun and creative activities. Children are divided into subgroups by age.
Club Med Password (11 to 17 years old) Included in your package Teenagers can meet up and take part in the activities that interest them most, in the company of their new friends. The Club Med Password at Tomamu may only operate during the Asian school vacations.
For babies under 2 yrs, baby-care material is available in your room and/or in the baby feeding room (cot, changing mat, baby bath, high chair on request, bottle-warmer), sweet and savoury baby foods, Baby corner equipped to prepare babies’ meals, high chairs in the restaurant. Spare strollers are also available if required.
All Club Med bookings must agree to the terms and conditions of Club Med.

Location
Club Med Tomamu offers an ideal ski-in/ski-out position, right by Mina-Mina Beach, Japan’s largest indoor wave pool. Tomamu is 1.5 hours NE from New Chitose Airport on Hokkaido and is close to the Hidaka National Park. Club Med Tomamu is only 30 minutes from Club Med Sahoro, a prefect option for a two-resort stay or even a day trip.
