Tom is travelling to Japan on behalf of Deep Powder Tours. His mission is to ski the best powder, steeps, pillows and kickers Japan has to offer. Tom is equipped with a camcorder, head cam, on-board microphone and a mobile phone so you can follow all the action through his video blogs and tweets.

About Tom
Tom Costa is a former member of the Australian National Freestyle Team and is a well respected member of the international ski community. Born in 1977 and growing up in Falls Creek Australia, Tom first started skiing at age two, along side his three elder brothers.
Skiing is in the Costa blood, with Tom’s brother Paul competing at one Olympic Games, while brother Adrian competed at four Olympic Games.
As a junior, Tom competed in Moguls and gained 6th place in the Junior World Championships. He went on to complete in the World Cup, then a further two World Championships.
Tom featured in Tanner Hall’s ‘Believe DVD’ and his talents are highly sought after by ski publications such as Powderhound, Chill Factor and Australian New Zealand Skiing. Tom has guided many Snowports Stars such as Shaun White, Torah Bright, Heiki Sorsa, Tanner Hall, Pep Fujas and Cris Benchettler.
Tom’s favourite terrain is powder, steeps, pillow lines and natural kickers. He loves skiing Alaska, Kamchatka Russia, Nendaz Switzerland and rates Japan, India, South America and Norway high on his list of favourite ski destinations.
Tom currently works with the Falls Creek Media Department with a focus on photography and journalism. Tom has published articles on Kamchatka, Alaska, Hakuba and a variety of other ski destinations around the world.
