Valle Nevado ski resort - Chile

Located 60 klms from Santiago airport, Valle Nevado is Chile's premier ski resort. Built on a ridge at 3000m it sprawls over miles of cruisy terrain and some steeper terrian for the experts. The village is small and upmarket, with a choice of 3 hotels and a couple of condo blocks. A day limit on visitors from Santiago keeps the slopes relatively uncrowded, and Chile's only express lift helps spread people around.
