Testimonials I have recently stayed in Niseko from the 08/02/2006 – 17/02/2006. I would like to formally note how impressed I was with Deep Powder Tours in arranging everything for our latest ski trip, which was a group of 12 people. The staff were well trained, very friendly and of the highest quality. Right from arrival to departure and all prior correspondence, every staff member was exemplary, in fact they went the extra mile to make sure the 12 people of our group were comfortable and well taken care of. It would be unfair of me to single out one or two staff members that stood out, as all that I spoke to were of the highest order of quality. It is rare of me to give such feedback but I felt it is important to give credit when such excellence is attained by a group.

On my fifth successive year skiing in Japan's famed powder, we decided to use the services of Deep Powder Tours for the first time. What a great experience and a refreshing change to have a tour operator that really cared about their guests and took the extra steps to ensure a good time was had by all. Thanks to Glenn and his team, our boys own ski safari of Hokkaido and northern Honshu was an experience we won't forget."

We got back from Japan last week after spending 11 glorious days skiing in Niseko and 3 great days in Tokyo. Michelle, on behalf of John, Leef, Sam, Jordy, Shane, Caroline, Lofty and Tarryn, thank you so much for organising our trip for us. Your help and assistance on bookings that at times were quite difficult is greatly appreciated. Throughout the entire organisation process you were so incredibly helpful, jolly, and very patient. All the advice you gave was perfect and, due to your hard work, everything went off without a hitch. We had such a great time - the snow was fantastic (with one little, iddy, biddy day of rain.......) I've honestly never seen such good snow!. We had 10 skiable days of which Sam and I skiied 9 - the soft boys in our little apartment only managed 7!!!!!! Our apartment was awesome - such a great location and really, really comfy. I also have to put in a good word for the ground staff - Christian, Luke and Joel (I think) - who picked us up and dropped us off at the Welcome Centre. They were so, so funny and friendly!!!! Thank you again Shell. I can say unequivocally we have never been on a ski trip that was so well organised and it's all thanks to you. Everyone I spoke to at DPT was fantastic but my immense gratitude for such a great holiday really does go to you so thank you, thank you, thank you. Speak to you very soon when it is time to organise the next one (and I promise it will be easier........) H. Attenborough
Just a quick note to let you know we had a fantastic time in Rusutsu. Heaps of snow, 2 sunny days, food great and the cabin was terrific. We stayed in the cabin the whole time by choice. We caught up with Glen a couple of times and had great skiing everyday. Thank you for all your help organising the trip. The Barnes family - (Cronulla NSW)
The Niseko holiday was fantastic, thanks for all your work in arranging it. The ground services at Niseko went beyond what we expected; Glen (I thought you were in Niseko) was extremely helpful in getting us going the first morning after arriving so late the previous night. All the family want to go again and we will be using your services and I will be recommending you to others. Although I did promise a Japanese ski instructor that I wouldn’t tell anymore Australians about Niseko.

Just a quick note to say thanks for helping organize a fantastic trip. The snow was awesome (but you probably hear that a lot) Of more specific interest; The Deep Powder Guys were spot on to meet us at Airport, were there for all transfers and onsen and rusutsu trips and were really fun guys, Monday night deep powder drinks were also great. Deep Powder runs a really tight ship over there and contributed to the great trip. I would definitely recommend deep powder to others and will use your services again Cathay Pacific flights were excellent. BABS accom was awesome, great food. Thanks again for all your help

Just wanted to drop you a quick email to say thanks. Yourself, the Deep Powder ground crew, Toshy and all at the Woody Note made the made the trip a welcoming and seamless experience. Everything was as the itinerary stated, nothing was missed. We got some great powder days to boot. So on behalf of Bono, Rippy and myself, THANK YOU ALL and see you next year!

I wish to thank you and Deep Powder Tours for your excellent organisation in the 'four girl' holiday to Niseko/Furano and Kyoto (with the addition of Matthew!). The whole trip ran perfectly and we were all suitably glassy-eyed with the beauty of Japan. The snow was magnificently dry and in abundance/all totally blown away by the skiing - we did not make the Monday night drinks as all bewildered by the Village, snow and just being there. Ski equipment equally great. Hair dryer was not needed at either Furano or Niseko - Resort Babs equally magnificant, with their dinners being one of the best we ate in the village. and carpark Noodle Bar a good find. I do not need to go on, as you all know this (especially judging by the no of Aust skiing/boarding). There was an interview on TV news with a young Japanese girl saying "... too many Australians!!)" We took advantage of slope tour at Niseko which we all loved and got our legs going, and also by resort at Furano by locals. So, Michelle thank you again and the general consensus by family members was 'same time next year??' - a very good sign that the holiday was absolutely enjoyed by all. Kyoto a lovely finish and wind-down from the snow as it would have been a great wrench to come directly off the slopes back home!! We could have stayed all night long at a small rest in Kyoto - gee it was hard to get on the plane. I hope you continue to do well, all the best.

We arrived home on Sunday after a great 2 weeks holiday. We arrived in Niseko in very bad weather so it was wonderful to be picked up and driven around while we got our skis and groceries etc and got a feel for the place. Terrible weather the next day closed the lifts, so it was Monday before we could get onto the slopes. We had a great 8 days skiing and even managed a perfectly blue sky day for our last day which was wonderful after some pretty cold and poor visibility days. Our accommodation was wonderful and it was great to come home to after 6 or 7 hours skiing. We enjoyed our 4 days in Tokyo and became masters of the subway, travelling all over the city. It was good to be based near Shinjuku Station as it was so convenient for the trains. We probably should have taken a night in Kyoto and gone done there on the bullet train but will save that for next time. Thanks again to you and the team at Deep Powder. W. Kerger (The Gap QLD)
Just wanted to drop you a line and tell you we had a great time in Japan. Not as much as snow as we'd hoped for but had a mad time anyway. Thanks to you and the rest of the team everything ran smoothly and was dead easy. I'll be ringing you again next year, although maybe a little earlier to try catch that powder..

Well, I can’t tell you just how professional your team is – starting from when I booked through you to when I left Niseko on Saturday. The only hick-up I had was that somehow your guys got me a one day ski pass instead of the 6 days which were on the itinerary, however, they immediately sorted it. Unfortunately, the snow was just slush and unless you made first tracks it was not much fun. 2 to 2.5 hours a day was probably the max. Loved the Onsen in my hotel; loved the hotel; met some lovely people (including a Hong Kong couple who have a house in Niseko and know another couple from Hong Kong whom I met in Sun Peaks last year who have a condo there); ate lots of interesting food; drank way too much; researched buying some property there; relaxed and rested and made a firm decision to book through you again either for Christmas 2008 or my birthday in February 2009. I think you guys should be proud of how professionally you deliver your services and in such a friendly manner and at great value. Niseko and its people mean that, even without the snow conditions (simply because Spring sprung early – even the Cherry Blossoms on the main island were out 9 days early), it is at the top of my to re-do list. Everyone I spoke to told me about what it is like in the peak conditions and I could see for myself that it was true. So lesson for me – don’t risk skiing so late in the season again – my performance is very much governed by the conditions – and I heard the ambulance racing up and down the hill once too often for my liking. So, in a nutshell, thank you so much for organising my holiday and being part of the Deep Powder Team. I will be back later on this year to organise my return trip!
C. Crompton (Perth WA) As you know, last year you assisted us in booking our family ski holiday to Niseko for January this year. Unfortunately, our lives were turned upside down in January when my daughter, Kyla, was diagnosed with a serious illness. Due to this, we decided that Kyla and I would not go, Martin would go, although on different dates to fit in around Kyla’s treatments, and our two sons, Warrick and Craig would go as planned. From the 14th January, when Melinda Campbell called to organise delivery of our travel documents, and I had to tell her that we had only just found out that our plans would have to change, Melinda was extremely helpful, patient and efficient. Re-arranging our plans was more complicated than the initial booking. At all times, Melinda was professional and tolerant. We were going through a torrid emotional time at home, but had to deal with the logisitics of the bookings at the same time. Not only that, but we then had to lodge the travel insurance claims with Suresave. Once again, Melinda was fantastic at providing us with all the necessary documentation we needed. Our claim is still sitting with Suresave, but Melinda certainly did what she could to help us, including dealing with our refund from JAL, which was initially incorrect. Martin and our sons enjoyed their trip to Niseko. They found the service of Deep Powder Tours at all times to be helpful, punctual and efficient. The accommodation was great and the holiday went without a hitch. Congratulations to you and Melinda for excellent customer service and I would recommend Deep Powder Tours to anyone planning a ski holiday to Japan. F. Boustred (Warawee NSW)
