Mt Hutt / Methven is located in the middle of New Zealand's south island and approx 70 klms from Christchurch, its gateway city.
Over the years Methven has developed into a true ski town, it is a quaint town with a personal feel about the place and surrounded by lots of farmland and beautiful scenery. The town centres around to main pubs/hotels called the brown and blue pubs, there is a variety of accommodation places, shops, restaurants and infastructure.
It is a great option for families, couples and people who are on a bit of a budget as it is cheaper to fly into

Mt Hutt has the most reliable snow in New Zealand. With a altitude of 2,086m and an ideal south/east aspect - it provides the conditions to attract snow.
Mt Hutt is a big bowl shaped mountain with steep sidewalls and the famous south face caters for experts. There is also gentle progressive slopes, well groomed main trails and on the middle/lower slopes there are two half pipes and a terrain park.
