Money
People's initial thoughts are that Japan is expensive and crowded. That may be the case in the 5 star Tokyo hotels. Furano is very reasonably priced, you will need to carry Yen Cash and we strongly suggest to bring some with you. Credit cards are readily accepted in Futrano town through the restaurants and shops but you can't use them on the mountain to buy lunches. Cash is king in Japan and if need be you can access that in the Kitanomine 7 Eleven at the ATM
